Reactions to allergens vary widely. Some allergens can cause may elicit only mild symptoms such as watery eyes or sneezing, while another life-threatening symptoms such as difficulty breathing or shock. Significant allergies may lead to developing asthma. That’s why it is important to seek treatment if you have allergies.

At Desert Center for Allergy and Chest Diseases, we can perform allergy tests such as the skin prick technique or oral food challenges and begin treatment for allergies immediately. Your individual treatment plan may include:

  • Traditional immunotherapy / allergy shots
  • Rush immunotherapy (faster way to achieve maintenance dose of allergy injections)
  • Prescription medications
  • Drug desensitization (controlled method of helping patients temporarily tolerate medications that they are allergic to)

You do not and should not have to live with allergies. If you suffer from airborne allergies or hay fever, early intervention can completely erase or significantly reduce symptoms. Moreover, recent research indicates that allergy-induced asthma may be prevented if allergies are treated early enough with allergy injections.
